Fallout 4 Confirmed With Trailer

In our E3 prediction article yesterday, we expressed our hopes for a new Fallout title announcement at E3 this year. Well, we don’t even have to wait that long. First a teaser site went live early, revealing that Fallout 4 was coming, and now we even have a trailer.

Much like the famously excellent teaser trailer for Fallout 3, this new trailer has perfectly creepy musical accompaniment. Those people at Bathesda really know how to make a trailer. Apparently they made this one with the help of Guillermo del Toro’s Mirada Studios.

The trailer confirms that  Fallout 4 will take place in The Commonwealth – the Fallout Universe version of Massachusetts. In a Fallout 3 side quest, players meet a scientist named Dr. Zimmer who comes from The Commonwealth, and he mentions that he and his colleagues created androids that had gone rogue and were running wild in the streets of his hometown. As you can see from the trailer, we’ll see these androids in the game. Zimmer also references The Institute, which could be a reference to MIT. Regardless, grab your khakis cause we’re going to Boston this time.

Fallout 4 is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC. There hasn’t been a release date revealed as of yet, but I’m sure we’ll know more after E3 in a few weeks.

About Drew Comerford (151 Articles)
The youngest student to ever be accepted to MIT (7 years old) Drew was a certified child genius. Unfortunately his other organs, limbs...basically everything were nowhere near as powerful as his brain. Drew in a desperate attempt to match the power of his body to that of his mind started experimenting with different animal organs and appendages. Some worked out, and some...not so much. The team takes great pleasure in replacing Drew's parts (which he loses regularly in battle) with the most obscure and useless replacements they can find. Drew is not a fan of this ongoing tomfoolery.
