Constantine is coming to “Arrow”

Matt Ryan, star of NBC’s cancelled series Constantine will be reprising his role one more time on a different DC series: The CW’s Arrow.

arrow-constantineJohn Constantine, who was briefly earth’s defender from the forces of darkness, will make an appearance in episode five of Arrow‘s fourth season, titled “Haunted“. Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim is very excited to merge the two television universes and to bring the character back from cancellation:

“We are thrilled to have Matt Ryan reprise the role of John Constantine on an upcoming episode of Arrow. Matt is an incredibly talented actor and his portrayal of this beloved character was always something we admired. The introduction of magic and mysticism on the show this season has provided a truly organic opportunity for us to bring John Constantine to Arrow and the CW’s DC universe. It will be a well-deserved tip of the hat to all the Constantine fans who were so incredibly supportive of that series.”

Constantine himself, Matt Ryan also confirmed the return of the character with a video announcement on his social networks.

Constantine completed its brief run of 13 episodes in February, and was cancelled shortly after.

Are you excited for the return of the character? As someone who wasn’t a fan of Constantine when it was on television, I don’t particularly care to see him coming on a show I actually love like Arrow, but I’ll reserve my final judgement for after the episode airs. About Drew Comerford (151 Articles)
The youngest student to ever be accepted to MIT (7 years old) Drew was a certified child genius. Unfortunately his other organs, limbs...basically everything were nowhere near as powerful as his brain. Drew in a desperate attempt to match the power of his body to that of his mind started experimenting with different animal organs and appendages. Some worked out, and some...not so much. The team takes great pleasure in replacing Drew's parts (which he loses regularly in battle) with the most obscure and useless replacements they can find. Drew is not a fan of this ongoing tomfoolery.
