The New Teaser for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is Short- But Great

Considering how close we are to that December 18th release date, we still haven’t seen a whole lot of footage from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and if you ask this nerd, that is a good thing- lets keep it that way.

Well today they gave us a tiny little bit more via the Star Wars official Instagram page.

There has been an awakening… #StarWars #TheForceAwakens

so we don’t get much more, but we do get to see that epic shot of the First Order’s army and our new heroine Rey (Daisy Ridley) with Wilson.. I mean BB-8, the volleyball droid. And finally we see who Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) is preparing to fight using his lightsaber with the crossguard… It’s John Boyega‘s character Finn, donning a familiar lightsaber.

boyega-social-1-570x298Is that Luke’s old lightsaber, or another generic blue one? This also may be our first real confirmation that the character Finn is a Jedi.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theatres on December 18th! In the meantime, keep up with Pulp Nation for more details! And if you’re a toy enthusiast, we’ll be at the official toy unboxing event in Toronto on Thursday September 3rd, where they’ll be revealing all of the new toys in the Star Wars line before they hits stores on Friday!

About Drew Comerford (151 Articles)
The youngest student to ever be accepted to MIT (7 years old) Drew was a certified child genius. Unfortunately his other organs, limbs...basically everything were nowhere near as powerful as his brain. Drew in a desperate attempt to match the power of his body to that of his mind started experimenting with different animal organs and appendages. Some worked out, and some...not so much. The team takes great pleasure in replacing Drew's parts (which he loses regularly in battle) with the most obscure and useless replacements they can find. Drew is not a fan of this ongoing tomfoolery.
