A Hasbro Cinematic Universe?

Well I don’t know how many people were clamoring or even thinking about this possibility but Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman is trying to make it happen! The proposed universe would comprise of some of Hasbro’s biggest toy and Saturday Morning Cartoons, GI Joe, Micronauts, ROM, M.A.S.K. and Visionaries.

Even more impressive however is the who’s who in the writers room for the project. Michael Chabon (The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, Spider-Man 2) Brian K. Vaughan (Y: The Last Man) Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain Marvel) John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Jeff Pinkner (The Dark Tower), Joe Robert Cole (Black Panther), Geneva Robertson (Tomb Raider), Nicole Riegel (blacklister) and Cheo Coker (showrunner for Luke Cage). Also on hand for the writers room will be Hasbro artists to help up draw up concepts and characters

Even the most cynical would find it hard to argue with that list of creative minds to draw upon for ideas on a shared Habro Universe. While I gave up my G.I.Joe action figures by high school this certainly does bring up some good memories. Cue the sappy nostalgic music score!
