Warner Brothers announces It!

Hey gang, Mark here. September 18 2017 will be a big day if you’re a fan of Stephen King’s It. That’s the date that Part 1 of the adaptation of the famous book hits theaters.

The original King novel followed a group of kids known as The Losers Club who come face to face with life problems, bullies and a monster that takes the shape of a clown called Pennywise. So wisely WB have decided to have two films, Part One focused on the kids and Part Two focusing on them as adults when they come back to their hometown to face the monster again.

It has been stuck in Development Hell for awhile now. Originally It was supposed to be directed by Cary Fukunaga but he left the project last year citing “creative differences”. Andres Muschietti has now replaced him and the film is expected to go into production this summer.

Sources have also indicated that Will Poulter, who was originally tapped to portray Pennywise the clown, has dropped out of the film due to a scheduling conflict. No word on who the studio is eyeing to play the part at this time.
