What’s Good

Critical Role

Critical Role

Even if you’re not into Dungeons & Dragons, or know the difference between a Halfing and a Gnome, Geek and Sundry’s Critical Role is great television.

Dungeon Master Matthew Mercer and an accomplished cast of voice actors live-stream their D&D adventures every Thursday at 7PM PST on Twitch.

Days of Hate

Days of Hate

Days of Hate, written by Aleš Kot, is a dystopian tale from Image Comics. In 2022, the world is once again on the verge of disaster; open intolerance and bigotry, nuclear threats from all sides, and rampant abuse.

Purposely uncomfortable, Days of Hate will make you think. There are no soothing lies here. Days of Hate #6 (of 12) was recently released on June 20, 2018 and Days of Hate #7 (of 12) won’t be released until August 22, 2018, so you’ve got time to catch up!

What’s Exciting

Ant-man and the Wasp

Ant-Man and the Wasp
I’ve been looking forward to this film since the end of Ant-Man. The first entry was a fun romp and we’ve heard nothing to prove the sequel won’t be as well!

The 20th film in the MCU is sure to be a crowd pleaser and a box-office winner!

The Return of Captain Jean-Luc Picard

Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard

Okay, normally this is a column about what’s exciting the upcoming week. We have no idea when this is happening. Heck, it’s still just a rumour, but Patrick Stewart coming back as Jean-Luc Picard?

Yes, Yes, a thousand times yes!

What’s Surprising

New York Times Spoiling Batman #50

The Batwedding

Am I really surprised at ending of the story? No, but I’m surprised the New York Times would go into so much detail about the storyline itself. And after reading DC’s explanation for their role in spoiling the issue, I only have more questions.

Now, a lot of fans are angry and cancelling their pre-orders and that would be a fair reaction to DC ham-handedness, but don’t let your LCS suffer because of this. They didn’t create this fiasco and should not be made to pay the price.

If you drop the title, please buy something else in its place. In fact, now might be the time to discover something outside the Big Two.

Nation, what’s good and has you excited! Tell us!
