Dungeons & Dragons, “Have I told you lately, that I love you?”
I just got home from another great D&D session from Sketchbook Comics and Games. This time, I brought my oldest daughter so she could sit in and observe. And she’ll be coming back next week to play! Yes!
That makes three of us from my family now. On the way back we were even talking about starting a family D&D game; I was nominated as DM. We shall see how it goes.
As for our game tonight, the last couple months have been absolutely fantastic. It didn’t matter that we were D&D neophytes; we were welcomed with open arms.
We’ve been lucky to have a great DM and a great group of players. Without exception, they are always willing to help and lend advice.
It interesting, one look at our group and it’s amazing how this amazing game brings so many people together. Different age groups, different backgrounds; it just doesn’t matter. Dungeons & Dragons is truly a game for anyone.
I just can’t say enough good things about my group of adventurers. We’re really starting to gel as a team and we even see each other outside of D&D. We actually went on a group outing to Mini-putt this past Monday. Naturally, the course was called Wizard’s Golf.
And yes, we rolled initiative to determine the order of play.
Tell us why you love Dungeons & Dragons!
